Certified Medical Assistant
Maxim is looking for a Medical Assistant for a full time permanent position in a clinic setting in West Bend, WI. The position would be Monday through Friday, normal business hours. The requirements for this position are at least one year of experience as well as recent blood draw experience.
Position Description:
Performs duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Interview patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and
height and records information on patient's charts.
o Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
o Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.
o Hand instruments and materials to doctor as directed.
o Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
o Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
o Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or
calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
o Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests.
o Schedules appointments, receives money for bills, keeps x-ray and other medical records, performs
secretarial tasks, and completes insurance forms.
May also include:
o May key data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
o May keep billing records, enter financial transactions into bookkeeping ledgers and computer, and mail
monthly statements to patients.
o Other duties as assignedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
