JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, this person will apply engineering principles and practices to develop, improve and maintain, electrical equipment and automated systems. This is a hands-on position that works closely with manufacturing maintenance and production personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, initiate and implement capital improvement projects on time and within budget.
Aids with design and development of equipment and machines.
Coordinate, collaborate and execute assigned projects.
Assess existing equipment and systems and determine available capacities and actions necessary to integrate new systems with existing.
Troubleshoot, enhance, design and maintain electrical and automated systems.
Enhance, troubleshoot, design and maintain production equipment mechanical and electrical systems.
Design, coordinate and assist implementation of controller and electrical circuits and panels.
Prepare electrical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual designs.
Providing and maintain bills of materials, detailed assembly, mechanical, schematics/wiring diagrams/drawings.
Train and instruct plant personnel on initial setup and safe operation of new equipment, machine controls.
Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects.
Create formal engineering documentation.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with building and grounds construction projects as assigned.
Assist with compliance to all city, state and federal environmental and electrical regulations as assigned.
Assist with maintaining all facility services; HVAC equipment, utility connections, automatic sprinkler and fire control prevention and protection.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of experience, education and an engineering internship or co-op work experience.
Applied knowledge of electrical and control systems, and system alternatives to ensure proper application of systems to meet project requirements and conditions
Knowledge of and ability to incorporate requirements of applicable codes and standards into a project design
AutoCAD Electrical
3D CAD experience (SolidWorks or other 3D CAD Programs)
Self-motivated
Computer literate, proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Good time management skills
Able to maintain confidential information
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
