Position
Summary:Oversee business operations.
Start Date:5/29/2015End Date:8/14/2015
Unpaid off days:One Saturday or Sunday each week, May 25 and July 3-6
Major Accountabilities:
1. Manage the camp's business concerns.
2. Ensure trading post is operated during all programs.
3. Compile camp rosters and reports, as needed.
4. Ensure good communications with parents and staff thru the camp newsletter and prompt attention to phone calls, faxes, mail, etc.
Key
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure inventories of all equipment and supplies at the end of the summer.
2. Evaluate current season and make suggestions for following season.
3. Complete invoices, receive and/or account for accounts receivable and track budget expenses.
4. Supervise sales and inventory of camp trading post including deposits.
5. Set up and maintain petty cash system.
6. Coordinate ordering and other purchasing as necessary.
7. Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and phone calls.
8. Coordinate camp newsletter and communications to parents.
9. Assist in driving and shopping.
10. Coordinate busing including bus monitors and rosters.
11. Coordinate evaluations and file back up for camper evaluations.
12. Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
Required
Experience:
Position Requirements:
1. Experience and/or education in general accounting procedures.
2. Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
3. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.
4. Good driving record and valid driver's license for at least one year. Valid driver's license, compliance with the council's policy of automobile insurance limits, and a driving record that meets the requirements for coverage of the council's business auto insurance carrier.
5. Willingness to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout member.
6. At least 21 years of age.
7. Comfort and ability to live, sleep, and work in a rustic outdoor environment with irregular hours preferred but not required.
8. Physical demands and work environment regularly requires the employee to walk, hike, and work outdoors in wooded areas and on uneven natural paths.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
