Zookeepers are responsible for all aspects of running a zoo, including animal care, grounds maintenance, and customer service.
Position includes every other weekend and holiday.
Ten hour shifts, primarily day shift.
Responsibilities and Duties Time will be divided between these three categories:
1.
Animal Care (feeding, cleaning, recordkeeping, and general animal wellness) 2.
Grounds Maintenance & Cleaning (mowing, snow removal, tree removal, fence repair, gift shop cleaning, and other similar duties) 3.
Customer Service (Guest admissions, school children & visitor education, gift shop cashiering) Qualifications and Skills Ideal candidate will have experience with animals and using equipment, along with a positive attitude.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in zookeeping or related field.
Ability to lift 75 pounds, work outside year-round, 18
years old, and a valid drivers license a must.
