Key
Responsibilities:
As a Utility Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Equipment Operators and Foreman to complete job orders efficiently.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Collaborating with our experts to work around existing utilities.
Digging trenches and locating existing utilities, an essential part of our utility construction process.
Spooling and unspooling cable, providing you with an opportunity to master this skill.
Assisting in equipment operation and print reading through on-the-job training.
Loading and unloading work supplies.
Taking care of equipment maintenance and ensuring a clean and organized job site.
Physical Demands:
Must have efficient eye-hand coordination.
Must be able to perform physical labor involving frequent lifting (over 50 lbs.
), carrying, bending, and shoveling.
Must be able to work long periods of time, including nights and weekends.
Additional Duties:
As you grow within the company, you'll have the chance to take on more responsibilities, such as reporting equipment problems, setting up pedestals, driving ground rods, reading telephone and/or CATV prints, and even operating equipment like a backhoe, trencher, plow, box pusher, or tamper.
