Summary:

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for research, analysis, evaluation and administration of our corporate benefit plans and programs.
Key areas of responsibility include health and welfare, retirement, and leaves of absence (disability, worker's compensation, FMLA, etc.
).
The role is both operational and strategic.
Monitor benefit trends in the business environment and stay abreast of applicable benefit legislation.
Assist in developing innovative strategies and programs aligned with our business objectives.
This position is based in our beautiful headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin.
A hybrid arrangement with some remote work will be considered.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide analytical, administrative, and implementation support for benefits design and administration of benefits.
Ensure compliance with various legislation (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA).
Research, monitor, analyze, and recommend compliance actions for new and evolving benefit plan legislation.
Participate in industry surveys and analyze results to ensure market-competitiveness of benefit programs.
Identify trends and opportunities to modify and improve benefit programs, policies, and procedures, and manage costs.
Provide employees with benefit information by conducting meetings, preparing communications, and responding timely and accurately to questions.
Revise and update benefit plan documents.
Orchestrate open enrollment and new hire enrollment.
Complete monthly benefits reconciliations and work with vendors/brokers to resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain data integrity of benefit programs including eligibility files, audits, interfaces, reports, billing, and dependent verification.
Identify and create wellness initiatives consistent with the mission and vision of the wellness program and company culture.
Serve as point of contact with vendors on data feeds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of communications and payments.
Approve and analyze day-to-day benefits administration and eligibility changes (in accordance with Company Plan guidelines).
Examples include new hires, life event changes, terminations, FMLA absences, etc.
Oversee worker's compensation program and connect employees with appropriate vendors.
Collaborate with the Shared Services team to develop and maintain audit procedures and reports.
Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
Skills/Abilities, Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years recent experience in benefits administration.
Self-starter with the ability to react quickly while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, tools and resources to support employment decisions.
Experience in employee relations with demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable with presenting information in a group setting.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
